Lubavitch Manchester are looking forward to renovating their headquarters, which were initially established by the well-known and beloved chossid, Reb Zalman Jaffe ah.
They are overwhelmed and humbled, by the show of support from people all over the world, for the Charidy fundraising campaign that was held on Motzei Shabbat 1st and Sunday 2nd February.
The donations and messages of support and thanks that were received for all the past and current activities and programs, were heart-warming. Many people donated in honour, tribute and appreciation of Rabbi Avrohom & Rebbetzin Susan Jaffe. Their selfless and caring leadership over the past 55 years have endeared them to so many of the Manchester community and beyond. They would like to thank each and every one of the donors for their support.
The initial goal of £200,000 was met with still 6 hours remaining, of the £28-hour campaign. A bonus round with a new goal of £300,000 then began. By the end of the campaign they had reached almost £274,000, but donations are still being sent in and now the 2nd goal of £300,000 has almost been reached.
This will enable their building to be renovated which will allow them to enhance, expand and increase their activities, and continue to serve the entire community.
The campaign is still accepting donations for the next 2 weeks, join now at www.charidy.com/lubman
May Avrohom and Susan be blessed with good health and long years to continue the Rebbe’s work at Singleton Rd in Manchester
This will be an everlasting tribute to his parents Reb Zalmon and Rosalyn who did such much to make the name of the Rebbe and Lubavitch a household word throughout the community
