The Mothers of Alumni Girls of the OCHS, Ohel Chana High School L.A. just completed a Three-Part Coaching Lecture Series to help sharpen their tools for navigating the Shidduch process, presented by Mrs. Rochel Duchman, ICT Certified Coach.
The course was given at the home of Simcha and Chaya Esther Kagan, OCHS Parents. This course was prepared exclusively for the Ohel Chana alumni community.
“Almost 20 attendees came away with new dating advice and guidance. Rochel’s well prepared and packed curriculum helped point out ‘blind spots’ that perhaps they cannot see for themselves,” says Leah Perl, OCHS Shidduch Initiative Coordinator, who organized the event.
Duchman took a personal interest in each participant, and offered to coach and support Ohel Chana alumni mothers and singles, offering mothers practical advice in helping them figure out how to keep open communication with their children throughout the dating process, and how to ask their children what they need and want.
Rochel also prepared parents just beginning with the Shidduchim process, giving them the road map when starting out on the Shidduch scene, giving vital tools to help gain clarity and confidence on their journey searching for their child’s soulmate.
This was also a great opportunity for the parents to meet Rochel and other local Shadchanim and dedicated women, willing and ready to help move Shidduchim along, who attended the coaching sessions.
One attendee commented, “I learned a lot, and it is so heartwarming to see the other ladies working at Shidduchim, being so dedicated and enthusiastic, mainly out of chessed, to be helpful in our community.”
Leah Perl will be available for appointments in Crown Heights from Wednesday, Feb 11-Tuesday through Feb 18 with her OCHS Singles Profile Portfolio.
Leah will be speaking Tuesday night, Feb 11, at 8PM at 789 Montgomery St.
