Lubavitch Chassidim around the world are preparing for a global celebration in honor of Yud Alef Nissan, marking 113 years since the Rebbe’s birth, and 100 years since the Rebbe’s Bar Mitzvah.
A worldwide project by Agudas Chassidei Chabad Haolomis in conjunction with Vaad Or Vechom Hahiskashrus will mark the auspicious day with farbrengens and learning.
Communities around the world will enjoy special guest speakers flown in from afar in honor of the occasion, something made possible by the generous philanthropist, Mr. Ronald Perelman.
The guest speakers will farbreng, share memories and stories related to Yud Alef Nissan. They will demand concrete action from the members of the community, in the spirit of the Hayom Yom of Yud Alef Nissan which explains that: “On his birthday, one should spend time in seclusion. He should recall his experiences and think deeply into them. He should then repent and correct those (of his past deeds) that need correction and repentance.”
In Crown Heights, the central Yud Alef Nissan farbrengen will take place tonight, Monday, at Bais Rivka Campus Chomesh at 8:00 pm.
The event will be broadcasted live on COLlive.com, joined by a slew of guest-speakers from around the globe.
Addresses will be given in Hebrew, Yiddish and English, by guest speakers Rabbi Avraham Shemtov, Chairman of Agudas Chasidei Chabad, Rabbi Yossi Nemes – Metairie, LA, Rabbi Sholom Ber Lipskar – Bal Harbour, FL, Rabbi Eli Wolff – Kfar Chabad, Israel, Rabbi Mendel Raskin – Montreal, and Rabbi Sholom Moshe Paltiel – Port Washington, NY.
Tune in at 9:00 pm for live broadcast:
