The annual Chabad Club @ Yeshiva University (YU) Shabbaton in Crown Heights was a smashing success.
Reuben Silver, a YU student, shared his experience, saying that from the moment he arrived, he felt welcomed and included. The passion for Chassidus was contagious, and the classes and farbrengens were both engaging and thought-provoking. The visit to the Ohel provided a profound connection to the Rebbe and the Chabad-Lubavitch movement. The highlight for many was the Shabbos night Farbrengen, where the atmosphere and Niggunim left an unforgettable impression.
For many, it was their first time experiencing a Chassidic Shabbos, which included visits to the Ohel, Erev Shabbos Seder Niggunim, davening in 770, and inspiring farbrengens. The event culminated in a Melave Malka concert, leaving attendees with a deep appreciation for Lubavitch.
The Shabbaton offered the YU students a unique opportunity to connect with the Crown Heights community, and gain a deeper understanding of Chassidus.
Whether it was the Niggunim, Farbrengens, or listening to one of the speakers, the energy of the Shabbaton was contagious. Students didn’t just observe Chassidic life—they lived it. Davening in 770 with hundreds of other Lubavitchers, visiting the Ohel with a group of new friends, and celebrating Shabbos with amazing hosts all contribute to an electrifying experience that leaves everyone feeling uplifted and energized.
The Shabbaton Team extends a special thank you to all the families in crown heights that hosted the students, Rabbi Levi Sputz the Shliach at YU, the students from the Chabad club, and the OT bochurim.

With such an overwhelming success, when is YU making Tanya a required course?
Is there a Shabbaton planned for the female students at Stern College ?
