Over 200 people gathered in the prestigious Bayview community of Toronto to celebrate the welcoming of two brand new Torahs to Chabad Lubavitch of York Mills.
One Torah donated by the Marks-Granovsky family in honor of the Bar Mitzvah of Brent Marks and in memory of Joe Hillman and the other Torah dedicated in honor of Jordan Turk upon his graduation from Medical School.
The Siyum was finished at the York Mills Shopping Centre and the procession blocked traffic on Bayview Avenue as the new Torahs made thier way to their new home.
Following the procession everyone enjoyed a catered lunch in the spacious yard of the Chabad Centre.
Chabad of York Mills is two and a half years old and is under the direction of Rabbi Levi and Rivky Gansburg.
Wow this is sooo nice to see keep up the great work,Levi and Rivky. May your community continue growing and you should both continue being great Shluchim.
