I would like to email him; I am curious if he has any insights on my Lodz, Poland pre-holocaust ancestors/family; if he would know them by name, etc.

COLlive…’todah for the story!’
Amazing individual…let’s wish him ‘Until 180!’
Is this a sign of ‘Moshiach?’

This week in Shul I heard some one tell me that we don’t check anything on a Holocaust survivor. That, when I pointed out that one of his talit knots was unravelled. But I agree with you, that since the Mishna Brutal says that tefillin. In the wrong place is the same as not wearing them at all. Every man needs to pay attention to that.

The Rebbe said 180 so why limit him?

Met him.

I met him a half year ago at Ben Gurion Airport. He was about to board a plane for somewhere, and was waiting for one of those trollys to drive him to his gate.

Could anyone say they have had a much more difficult life than him and he still smiles. Ultimately Hashem did reward him for his Bitochon & Emunah with a genuinely good life. His story inspired me.

I’ve read about him about a year ago. His attitude & outlook on life impressed me as being very good & healthy. He definitely didn’t have an easy life. Orphaned as a child, enduring concentration camps, losing his family( wife & children) in WW2. Making Aliyah to Israel and starting a new fmly. which had it’s own new difficulties at times. He impressed me as having an indomitable spirit and good, healthy attitude. I think he’s a beautiful, inspiring human being & Jew.
