Mushky and Malki Herzog, two Lubavitch chassidic women, channeled their passion for tradition, business and clothing, to create a unique dress line merging fashion and modesty.
Founded just over a year ago, Red Flamingo UK is a line of tznius and fashionable dresses for women and is now wholesaling to 7 stores globally and growing.
Being fashion lovers themselves, the two sisters who live in London, UK, say that like many frum Orthodox young women, they were constantly struggling to balance looking fashionable while keeping modest according to halachic standards.
So, the sisters decided to offer a solution.
“We just kind of looked at each other and said, why can’t we open our own clothing line? What’s stopping us?” co-founder Malki Herzog told COLlive.com.
Their commitment to keeping up with the latest in fashion while also keeping their dresses affordable, and most importantly tznius, is what makes Red Flamingo UK so unique.
“What’s special about this clothing line is that it’s based on two core values: fashion and Tznius,” says co-founder Mushky Herzog. “Red Flamingo is dedicated to providing not just fashionable dresses, but dresses that don’t need altering or fixing to look completely tznius.”
Their online store at redflamingouk.com features a worthy selection of modest yet trendy dresses in summer, fall, winter and spring lines.
Their younger sister Chani Herzog is a big fan of the line, and praises her sisters’ dedication and commitment to having a positive influence on so many young women.
“In our times, looking for a role model is a common quest,” she told COLlive. “For me, I don’t have to look far. My two older sisters are a true inspiration to me for their dedication to tznius and passion to enable change.”

Whenever I wear them I receive compliments from everyone but the best thing is that they are very comfortable!

Many tznius dress sites make their clothing so petite that anyone slightly above average height cannot wear it. I hope this line will at least have generous HEMS on the dresses so that they are alte table for tall women. Much appreciated.

Wow what an accomplishment! I got so excited. A website offering long sleeve, crew neck, below the knee dresses, it’s generally so hard to find. I went straight to the website. So disappointed though, there were questionable necklines and even some dresses above the knee… really upsetting. I fully support this idea but pleas stick to the standards.
Upto what size do you carry how much is shipping to usa
The real difference between this and something you can pick up in Boro Park is the price. This is great value. My only question having bought one is the quality. Up the quality and charge a little more. You’ll still be undercutting. But otherwise it won’t last and that would be a shame.
