florida
Everyone should leave New York
do not come to florida. all the new yorkers that moved here post covid ruined what florida used to be…if you do come ditch the new york attitude and act like a mensch.
and if you are frum
Where’s your Ahavas Yisroel?
Just because you moved to Florida when yuu I couldn’t afford NY does not mean wealthier people can’t move there!
How many Floridians go upstate for the summer! Do any nyers complain? How many Floridians come to ch and hike up the prices in ch and need to be hosted all year round? Florida cheap people should move to Detroit and left the rich take over
Rachmana Litzlan!!!! frightening!! every like is another point for the satan!! oy! jews expelling other Jews!??????? the reason for the churban was unquestionably “sinas chinam” the reason for what happend on simchas torah was also unquestionably “sinas chinam”!! and yet again in america we better not be going there!!!! the only thing thats worse then a mamdani mayor is sinas chinam!!!!! not beruchnius! i mean pashut begashmius! every one knows by now the sad truth is that if we were united before october 7th they wouldnt have attacked us!! what is happening!?!?!? the Churban is also proven as a fact… Read more »
We have enough New Yorkers moving in please stay there
Do not tell anyone where they should or should not live.
G-d created the world and every part if it!
Bereishis, perek alef pauk alef!! Rashi told us to say it to TERRORISTS unfortanatly now we need to say it lehavdel elef havdalos to OUR VERY OWN FRUM YIDDIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MAY THE 3RD TEMPLE BE REVEALED TODAY AND WE WILL ALL BE MOVING TO ISRAEL NOW PERMANENTLY
I know an outside askan who is sharp and ahead of his time. He said that anywhere else in America would have the same nonsense within 5 years. Of course, Moshiach is so close we can see it now. In terms of planning, the Rebbe said two things. It wasn’t for nothing that “Eretz Yisroel being the safest place” was the theme in 5751. The Rebbe spoke not only of then in that year, but of the whole time of helem vhester. That the same time, there are letters from the Rebbe not to move and in to give in.… Read more »
No one should be told where or where not to live.
Make your informed decision, speak it over with friends and mashpiim, and people you feel have your best interest in mind, and THAT’S YOUR SHLICHUS!!
So now I need to move again. Too much entitlement from you New Yorkers
Rendering New York judenfrei would give a big fat victory to Mamdani and his supporters. Besides, Florida is not immune from a similar outcome at some point down the road either. So, no, everyone should not leave New York.
But moving a whole family is hard and expensive 😕 and bh my kids are happy in school!
I always thought that when the tide would turn in the US we wouldn’t make the same mistake as we did in Europe.
We should not stay until it’s too late
Get out while you still can
to where? everywhere has the same issue!
They stayed because of Torah. we are’nt allowed to abandon a jewish neighborhood! they all could have left but choose not to!! obvisouly this doent need to be shared with everyone because we need to be dan likaf zechus to all yiddin! and we dont know what they we’re going through at that time and anyone who left in such a time should have because sakunas nefashos comes before anything else!
Is there some sort of a cross-generational curse on the Jewish people? I don’t think so. Somehow the Blacks are not afraid of being taken back to slavery. And the Muslims are not trembling with fear that at some point they’ll have to pay back for 9/11 and 10/7 as well as all their other atrocities. Yet we, the Jews, are somehow committed to this pseudo-religious eternal fear. Enough is enough already! This is not the way a self-respective holy nation is expected to act! Yes, there’s nothing wrong for us – just like for other humans beings – in… Read more »
Have had enough
if you are a really good frum person, you can come to postville!
!!
The Rebbe said that the Chasidim should stay in the shchuna of crown heights.
If that applied than I’m sure it still applies now!
Back then, the thugs stayed in prison, now they walk out. Very different times
Crown Heights was much more dangerous then.
Also, don’t comment on what the Rebbe meant if you haven’t even read what he said.
nu? where is it?
when the riots were going on?
screaming ‘get the jews’?
killing a yunger man?
there were another miltiple times that mesiras nefesh had to be used and the rebbe said to stay. [on my mind is mrs. lapine hy”d and R’ okonov hy”d (i hope i did’nt miss any)]
but if you believe kan tziva hashem es habracha then why would you leave????
To run away.
Keep your shoulders tall and your back straight. Don’t run away in fear.
Bring out that Gaon Yaakov!
If you’re scared of him. Just remember he’s talking like an assemblyman, not like a mayor. Even if he does win, he won’t be able to act on 90% of what he said
If He’ll defund the police, which he won’t bezH, the state troopers will be sent in
If he’ll try to phase out donations to Israel, which he won’t BezH , and will be met with extreme backlash, donate to a charity in Woodmere or upstate.
Free bussing- not happening
Taxing the rich- he’ll realize real quick that will flop ….
But what about our safety? Will there be those who are more incentivised to commit crimes against jews ?
There are always ups and downs. Since Mayor Juliani, I don’t think our city’s been that safe for a contrast
go on shlichus.
I hope you’re right I think he’s already dealing with extreme backlash and he’s not even elected yet. He will learn the hard way. May hashem protect us and I hope he gets defeated just like all our enemies.
A small percentage of those eligible voted in the primary. Let’s see what Hashem has in store.
It will have a massive impact, do not be lulled into false complacency. NYC has never had a mayor with an open hostility to Jews and the Jewish state. And it will be a very different reality to have one. It will be a certain kind of emotional abuse, most of all for the residents under his domain. But it will extend beyond his domain. There is a symbolic importance to the pronouncements of ny mayors. Hence the value for example, of Giuliani’s visits to Jerusalem, Bloomberg’s visit to Israel while it was at war and Obama had imposed flight… Read more »
David. We had mayors of the same stock. The only difference was that they didn’t outrightly announce, which is worse.
literally. we thought it was small but growing. Part of their plan is infiltrating governments. But al tira. Moshiach now.
If the law allows the harassers to intimidate us on campus or beyond, it allows us to fight back just as well. On the other hand, Mamdani is not above the law. He can’t sign a decree making the antisemitic crime legal even if he wants to. Even the funding or defunding of police has to go through the city council who may not necessarily back Mamdani on this. Intimidation? What can be do to intimidate us? Refuse to attend Israel Day Parade? That’s not enough of a reason for granting him a big fat victory by rendering NYC judenfrei.… Read more »
Mayors not supportive of police or the Jewish community is a dangerous combination. Let’s not forget what happened with mayor Dinkins during the Crown Heights riots.
I would go to a state where I have both the First and Second Amendment, and taxes are low.
A gathering at the Ohel
A tehillim campaign
Voting for a specific candidate
Sue him legally or at least defame him
Something has to be done
We need to band together
Not a joke.
Ill stay and work to make him regret his decision to run.
Same as you would think of the empty baggers decrying leaving the US if trump wins (and only 0.2% did)
because if he does win then the jews will have to leave! i’m not even sure why the question is being asked… i mean if sadam hussein would be the mayor we would all leave. whats the diffrence? Their would’nt be a jew left in new york! it’s not a prediction… its a fact. their is nothing to talk about! we already know the sighns from the holocoust, so when they come up every one will get the hint and bounce… some earlyer and some later, but EVERYONE will go! B”h the rest of america is semi fine so everyone… Read more »
Jew won’t “have to leave” even if Mamdani wins. Because he’s not above the law. He has no power to sign a decree that would make antisemitic crime legal. He has no power to unilaterally implement any of his unrelated but nonetheless bad ideas without Albany’s approval. Even the police funding/defunding, which is the city’s prerogative, would still have to go through the city council. And certain he has no power to discriminate against the Jews. I obviously don’t want Mamdani to be a mayor, but I’m not running away from New York City because of him. I hope the… Read more »
The Jewish community is not leaving anywhere. Mamdani – even if he wins – will have no power in the City of New York that Saddam Hussein had in Iraq. The Constitution of the United States of America hasn’t changed to give the Mayor of the City of New York a power to persecute the Jews or to make antisemitic crime legal. Rendering the most Jewish-populated city in the US judenfrei – an extremely unlikely proposition – would be a reward to antisemites of all sorts. We won’t let this happen even if Mamdani wins (which I still hope he… Read more »
The Holocaust was an unprecedented phenomenon with no “signs” that we were somehow supposed to “know”. Enough of this pseudo-religious paranoia that has nothing really to do with Torah or Judaism. There’s nothing in the Torah that says that we’d have to listen to the “signs” for getting out in time. It’s not the Torah and it’s not Judaism. It’s a shameful cursed-nation mentality that is antithetical to the way the blessed and holy Jewish nation is expected to act. The law of the United States of America hasn’t changed in any way to single out the Jews for persecution… Read more »

Beautiful claims. Maybe say the same when someone’s in trouble. It’s complacency and ingonance. Hishtadlus !!!
But, you don’t have to wait…..
I would want to buy some land in middle of the ocean
Just to finally be left alone.
Parasites all of them.

How is he worse than debelasio?
He just says the quiet part out loud.
But actions are the same
This is a good question. Which one was worse – DeBlasio or Dinkins? DeBlasio was potentially worse because of his leftist ideology. In spite of that, the city had remained in a good shape for most of his tenure and only deteriorated during the Covid-era restrictions and Floyed-inspired riots. But even at that time the crime rate was way above that during the Dinkins era. As for Mamdani, his anti-Israel anti-police sentiments (though he seems to denouncing the latter) are potentially more troublesome. On the other hand, he’s already under attack, without even being elected yet; which forces him to… Read more »
I can’t wait for a New York City that is for everyone We’re one can afford to raise a family
Without stress if they’re outside the top 1%,
Quieter and safer streets with a more robust public transit system, neighborhoods built for people not for cars, The current leadership has not been good to us, time for change The future is now.
You are wrong
yo. nope. sorry zohran but youre plan wont work. we need more affordibility not more F-youre-ability
This will be an unpopular opinion but mamdani is winning because people are listening to their empty pockets. Coumo will be good for the wealthy ones not the rest of us. Yes I would vote for coumo over mamdani in a heartbeat but we can do better with endorsing candidates who represent the struggling majority. And our community leaders and rich donors can do better too if not for the sake of the rest of us than when it hits them too.
You don’t understand economics or you lack a basic understanding of what a socialist is. He will rip every penny from you and then the life out of you
Which is why I won’t vote for mamdani ever. But coumo? We need a candidate to oppose mamdani and represent and appeal to financial struggles, not coumo who is being backed by our wealthy and will create more division with the poor and wealthy ,that won’t be beneficial to most of us.
This place gives more free handouts than anyplace it’s kind of ridiculous
Will run the city a lot better than Mamdani. Although he spoke against yeshivas getting free money, he is a fair person. And believes in justice. Cuomo doesn’t even live in NYC and was horrible during Covid.
But not when we get the free money
B”H
If you have a question about where you live, ask your rov
Whatever you rov tells you is the best
thing to do.
The other side is not always greener. Food in Florida is three times the price of new york. There are no special schools for learning disabled children.
The Rebbe wanted people to stay in Crown heights. Ask your rov. Don’t run. Consider what he says like the Rebbe is speaking to you.
Besuros tovos and good Shabbos 🌺
we wont leave crown hights we will stay strong and live were the rebbe told us to!!! in fact its also hard to move with a big family):
To post this on a chabad website is a embarrassment the Rebbe was very clear when the others were moving into our community the Rebbe said stay when mayor dinkin became mayor the Rebbe said to stay and the Rebbe continues to say stay
For those wondering mayor Dinkins was the one who started the CH riots the only Riots in America targeting Jews he was also a socialist
There’s so much wrong with that comment. Firstly, Dinkins visited the Rebbe for a Brocho. Could you imagine Mamdani visiting the Rebbe??? Secondly, Dinkins visited Israel to show support after the Gulf war, something Mamdani would never do. Third, Dinkins really wasn’t a socialist at all. Fourth, Dinkins didn’t “start” the riots. He didn’t end them, which he should have done, but he certainly didn’t start them. Finally, and most importantly, despite his flaws, in particular failing to stop the CH pogrom, Dinkins wasn’t an antisemite at all, and was close to Jews and even visited the Rebbe. There’s no… Read more »
TOTALLY OPEND MY MIND. THANK YOU. BUT THE REBBE SAID TO STAY. IF THE REBBE TOLD US TO MOVE TO IRAN WE WOULD IF THE REBBE TOLD US TO MAKE A CHABAD HOUSE IN IRAQ WE WOULD . KAL VACHOMER IF THE REBBE SAID TO STAY NEXT TO 770 WE WILL. BTW 770 IS A SPECIAL PLACE…
DeBlasio was potentially worse due to his farther leftist ideology. It’s a pity that Dinkins was an inept mayor incapable of lowering the crime and failing to quickly stop the Crown Heights riot. Yet, the fact is that that under DeBlasio the crime rate didn’t even come close to the Dinkins-era high. Before the Covid-era discrimination and Floyd-inspired riots the atmosphere in the city wasn’t any different from the Bloomberg era. As for Mamdani, his anti-Israel and anti-police rhetoric make him potentially worse than even DeBlasio. Yet, in practical terms a lot depends on the outside factors such as those… Read more »
In other words, Mamdani’s anti-Israel and anti-police sentiments potentially crate a flammable environment in the city, but whether it actually ignites or not largely depends on the outside factors.

Rebbe said to stay, end of discussion
single frum young men should move to FL
no. stay in crown height. get marreid. go on your shlichus. even the new out of town yeshiva trend is annoying .. im not talkin about grownig up there im talkin about leaving. bachurim stay home!!!
You might be surprised to learn that many Frum Jews in NYC plan to vote for Mamdani. When there’s too much month left, after your paycheck ends, you start to wonder whether things really have to be this way and whether change is possible. His position on Israel may be uncomfortable, but it will carry no real consequence, as he will have no role in shaping foreign policy. In fact, if he sees that even a noticeable minority of support came from Jewish precincts, it might encourage him to moderate his tone on Israel.
It’s an embarrassment that low-income Jews have to look up to the antisemitic Mamdani as their only hope. If anything, this only reinforces the classical antisemitic tropes of how wealthy we supposedly are. If affordability is your real concern, keep in mind that Mamdani’s populist ideas can’t go anywhere without Albany’s approval. On the other hand, as far as the potential effect of his anti-Israel sentiments on the safety of the Jewish community is concerned, I also hope that his sentiments won’t prevent him from doing his job as a mayor and providing the needed policing in all neighborhoods. I’m… Read more »
The rebbe spoke about people not wanting to leave to israel with moshiach. That they dont want to leave their fancy homes and fancy cars for israel. I remember the rebbe saying it.
This is to make people see we are in golus and that we must be prepared to greet moshiach and move to israel and not want to hold onto staying here in golus.
Yidden’s mitzvoth and Torah learning (including a lot of outreach for Yidden who don’t even have feelings for Eretz Israel) are needed everywhere on the planet to reveal Moshiach and the Geulah. It’s not about more Jews being in a secular “state” that calls itself Jewish and makes it harder to keep Torah and mitzvoth. Make EY here, do all you can to bring Moshiach where you are. And pray and register to vote and vote. It’s a little hishtadlus that the Rebbe is for, and if chas bshalom Moshiach is not already her, you can bring mivtzoyim materials to… Read more »
An antisemitic elected official is not Moshiach. And the panic around him is not a geula. Aside from the situation of true sakonas nefoshos (which this one doesn’t seem to be), rendering a heavily Jewish-populated area judenfrei out of fear is a bad idea, as it would only do a big fat favor to those who don’t want us here.
There’s other places in NYS that won’t be under Mandani…
There’s Pomona, Montebello, Monsey etc.
There’s Long Island: Five Towns, West Hempstead, Great Neck, Plainview, Oceanside…all have very nice Jewish Communities with amazing Chabad Houses.
Yet, you can still drive over to the schunah!
The Rebbe’s foreign and domestic policy was simple: Jews don’t run — we stand strong!
The Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, was unwavering in his belief that Jewish people must act with dignity, strength, and self-respect
Shnas binyan. Build shuls and homes and they can be fancy, welcoming guests and they will go with us to EY according to the Rebbe.
I WILL move my family, no question, even though it will be very complicated and expensive. There are many many painful lessons from Jewish history that tells us we shouldn’t stay with an antisemitic government.
Will be more properties available to move
The Rebbe expressed himself that he would be happy if he was left in crown heights with just a minyon and everybody else went out on shlichus.
I already left years ago. Who would want to live feeling oppressed all the time and treated like another rat 🐁??
Berlin is not Jerusalem
Remember the unbelievable miracle that happened just four seconds before the NYC mayoral election?
Iran had a nuclear weapon ready—and suddenly, a couple of bunker busters took care of it.
And yet, that memory fades so quickly… because we’re always on to the next distraction.
But the writing is on the wall. It’s not hard to see.
We have Someone watching over us.
If you really want to make a difference—start with the basics:
Encourage your spouse not to talk in shul.
Learn. Daven. Chitas. Rambam.
The rest?
It might feel stimulating, but it’s noise!
well does anyone want to hear what the REBBE said on this…to ask a ROV….does anyone else remember anything? or are you too busy with your cell phones and the latest latest stupid thing that you heard from someone who is also just have their head and their soul on a 2 by 4 screen…so we are before one of the most holy days of the year, a day which is the birthday of Moshach…you do not know what to do…how about what the Rebbe told us to do….stay strong, stay holy & fill you heart with love of your… Read more »

bs”d I am over 1700 miles away and already I am getting very nervous. For those who have been privileged to be in NYC since I left (I love NYC but was not doing very well there, being from the West) I think it’s a matter of balancing the assignment to make a dirah betachtonim, in a place that has been govoha m’od and could become ch”v shafela m’od, and the concept of venishmartem. Is it really such a terrible thing for crown heights to pick up and scatter?
Think of all the mosdos that can’t survive here, because ch is the first place the rest of the world asks for money.
I think it would encourage shluchim to find another source for their fundraising, and finally, lubavitchers can put a bit of emphasis on their own circles, instead of worrying about jews we’ve never met.
Is crown heights really thriving? Why are we so keen on staying?
Mamdani does not hate Jews. He is a good person, who cares for the poor. If anything, the poor of Crown Heights will benefit from the expanded social welfare programs that he will put in place.
Majority of Jews live in Eretz Yisroel. It’s time Chabad catches up……
The Chabad rabbeim, especially the Rebbe Rashab, Frierdiker Rebbe and Rebbe strongly opposed the idea of Jewish mass migration to Eretz Yisroel to escape the “dangers” of chutz laaretz before Moshiach comes.
What you wrote isn’t in line with Chabad values. No need to post it three times.
do some chabad bochurs go to yeshiva in Israel
Eretz Yisroel is the obvious choice…
Israel is the only answer! Imagine if all foreign real estate was invested in Israel.
Florida is not the promised land, and not everything is better. Forget the fact that housing prices and traffic mirror any big city, or the fact that tuition averages 18-30k per kid without bussing. What I’ve noticed with the post-COVID migration is that people moving down here never leave the vacation mindset. The anything goes attitude, which is fun while away, but not healthy for raising families. I’ve witnessed frum families within a couple of years either no longer being religious, divorcing, intermarrying, or anglicizing their Jewish names. There’s no judgment in FL; no one cares what you do. Anyone… Read more »
The Rebbe said many times not to leave Crown Heights. Its a Halachic desicion that was backed by R’ Moshe Feinstein.
I never heard that Rav Moshe Feinstein had made any public statements against mass moves. If he did, I’m glad to hear that. Can you please bring the source? Don’t get me wrong; I’m not sarcastic. I do want to see confirmation of this good news that he was indeed against it.
lets just support one person and have him win
That’s obvious. The question is which one of the three. Remember, he doesn’t have to be objectively best in our eyes; instead, he has to be likelier to defeat Mamdani.
we stay. we are the Rebbes shluchim.
I think that this whole notion of ‘oh no, here they come’, is deeply steeped in trauma.
We have been traumatised so many times, that we have become dehumanised…
We have forgotten who we are:
The children of hashem.
And if we can retract to our original standing of being the
בנו יחידו של הקב”ה
We will not have to deal with it
Exactly! This cursed-nation mentality of ours must be uprooted. Being in golus doesn’t mean being cursed. And antisemitism is still a miracle (albeit a negative one) rather than a norm. Baderech haTeva, Mamdani is not above the law. Let’s remember that.
You can’t fly with 1 wing. Love and fear serve us as a motivator to accomplish. Even the leumat zeh, Amalekite king Makavelli preached this centuries ago and the current Amalek, Mamzerani agrees to use fear on his Jew foes. Halevai this PACHAD would move our “smart people” to get their act together and finally dump Adams, ZATZAL with his flat 9% ratings. The true polls showed that a simple Adams deflation would do 2 things: probably put Cuomo in first place, and also put Sliwa in striking distance (3 points back). The 2 other newer “polls” were put out… Read more »
The Rebbe says to stay. through fire and water we wont leave! the Rebbe pushed for people to get together, also protect east flat bush from arab migrants! they come right from gaza to east flatbush. dont let them do this… buy houses!
it looks like americas time for Jews is reaching its sunset, and its time to leave and look for a new home as we always had to. However the Lubavitcher Rebbe says No! we will stay. dont run. dont sell Shuls. group together!
There’s no place in the Torah that would say that our time in any given country has a limit and that time would come to look for a new home. All we know is that Eretz Yisroel is our intended place and that in Moshiach time it will be returned to us in its all glory.
