Just before Tishrei, Batsheva Learning Center (an organization that promotes text-based Torah learning for women) launched a campaign for women around the world to learn one maamar from the weekly Torah Ohr for twelve weeks, completing the entire Sefer Bereishis.
The organization is putting out a weekly podcast episode on each maamar on their platform “Real Women, Real Torah” and recruiting women from communities around the world to start their own in-person shiurim as well.
So far, 100 women have signed up to join the campaign from communities in Melbourne, London, Tzfat, Crown Heights, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, Baltimore and others.
Batsheva provides resources for learning, weekly insights and quizzes and a global discussion group where women can ask questions, discuss ideas and connect to a community of women around the world embarking on the same journey.
The campaign is motivated by the many occasions when the Rebbe encouraged chassidim to commit to learning the “Chassidishe Parsha” (the weekly portion of Torah Ohr and Likutei Torah), as well as the many sichos in which the Rebbe encouraged women to delve into the study of Chassidus in its full depth, as part of their obligation in the mitzvos of ahavas Hashem, yiras Hashem, etc. The maamarim in Torah Ohr and Likutei Torah contain the most foundational maamarim of the Alter Rebbe, providing a rich foundation for understanding Chabad Chassidus. This campaign is an opportunity for women to take their first dive into the study of Torah Ohr.
In light of the war in Israel, more and more women from around the world are signing up every day to join the initiative and commit to learning these twelve mamarim in the merit of the safety of Israel.
Women who would like to join can visit https://www.batshevalearningcenter.com/bereishis for more information and to sign up.

We need more of this!
