Two months ago, in honor of Lag baomer, groups of women in Crown Heights gathered in a great show of neighborly unity.
Spurred on by The Hakhel Project by Nshei Chabad, they chose a date and time during that week to host a small gathering for their friends and neighbors, which was listed on an online map and open to all locals.
Some met their neighbors for the first time after 20 years living on the same block or building! New friendships and great connections were made, greatly changing the dynamics for some of these Crown Heights locals.
Now, the Hakhel Project wants to do it one more time! This time in honor of Gimmel Tammuz, the women of Crown Heights are being encouraged to meet again or do it for the first time on their block!
Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to bring some positive vibes to your little area!
Remember, it doesn’t need to be a big or fancy (though it could if you’d like)
Tips:
1. Collaborate with neighbors, so you can share the load
2. Even if its just two ladies sitting down to learn a something from Chayenu together, its a hakhel so please sign up and we can add it to the map
3. The more locations we have, the stronger this movement of achdus will be
“The achdus of the chassidim will bring Moshiach”
Together we are stronger than what divides us. Sign up here!
Go the website to sign up and see an event on ur block
see map of all the hakhels on http://www.thehakhelproject.com
It’s still not too late to coordinate a hakhel for your block. Many blocks have not yet listed a gathering.
…a list of all the events will be posted shortly Iy’H.
Info please?
How fortunate CH is that there are women who take the initiative to promote achdus. Yasher koach!
I wasn’t aware if there was a previous event on my block. Could you please post details
for specific blocks on collive
