The Rosh Chodesh Committee of Neshei Ubonos Chabad in Crown Heights organized a “Learn and Paint” event on Sunday, Rosh Chodesh Elul.
The well-attended event that was both uplifting and relaxing was hosted by Faigy Carlebach in memory of her parents Chaya Yuta has Chanoch Henoch and Harav Peretz Ben Reb Yehoshua.
The guest speaker was Mrs. Shaindy Jacobson, Director of JLI’s women’s studies division, The Rosh Chodesh Society, spoke about the Friediker Rebbe’s description of the month of Elul in the town of Lubavitch.
Participants enjoyed fresh sushi kindly sponsored by Sushi Spot and then sat for a Paint on Canvas session led by artist Riki Chanin and assisted by artist Chaya Pellin. Canvas brushes and paints were provided with personal instruction.

This Rosh Chodesh gathering, in addition to many others which have taken place, would not have been possible if not for the hard work of Mrs. Rochel Serebransky. Mrs. Serebransky has dedicated herself to organizing these Rosh Gatherings which are inspirational and uplifting for those seeking such events in the community.
