“Eishes Chayil Mi Yimtza,”
“Who can find a woman of excellence (valor)?”
– Mishlei, Chapter 31
While some may struggle to discover what defines a “woman of excellence” or “woman of valor” spoken about in Eishes Chayil, there are actually many such women that exist in our community, for example, the wives of our dedicated Hatzalah volunteers.
From minutes before Shabbos to deep into the silent hours of the night, as the Hatzalah volunteers rush out of their homes and away from their families to assist others in their moment of need, their wives, their Eishes Chayil step up to the plate.
We can often see the deeds of our Hatzalah volunteers, praise them, return them, or even pass them along to others, but rarely are the deeds and Mesiras Nefesh of the Hatzalah wives brought into the public eye.
A group of appreciative Lubavitchers set out to not only thank these Crown Heights Hatzalah wives in words, but also give each of them a gift of thanks for their truly selfless dedication to their husbands, families, and community. Their vital and essential work never underestimated, overlooked, or ignored.
The gifts were sponsored by Baruch and Yonit Duchman לזכות ולרפו”ש רחל בת ראשא רוזא – בתוך שאר חולי ישראל, and Sruli and Dina Krasnianski in honor of all Hatzalah members and their families.
Crown Heights-based Tzfasman Jewelers also co-sponsored the gifts which were distributed to each Hatzalah wife along with a letter of thanks and appreciation for all their tireless work and Mesiras Nefesh.
What a special and beautiful gesture!
You ladies rock!
Thank you for showing hakaras hatov. We should all be doing this every day.
This is so special and inspiring.
They are champs! They helped out my nephew on Yom Kippur. Some of them came over by the break still wearing their kittle and Talis and didn’t show any feeling of like we need to get back for Ne’ila. Just laying attention to what they were dealing with in front of them. And then at 1 am I see the same Hatzala member and he tells me he stays up to 3 am on Thursdays. These guys are champs and their wives (and kids) play every bit of that role! Hashem should never stop Bentching these heroes!
Thank you to all the hatzala members and their wives for committing to selflessly save lives in our community
May you be blessed from Hashem himself and in the most abundant and revealed ways
Time to also publicly support ezras nashim
Shocking that hatzola does not support female EMTs for women who prefer
As they do in israel
