If you’re trying to access WhatsApp, you might find you’re not alone in having some serious issues. It seems the hugely popular chat app, which now has some 2 billion users, is having major troubles with thousands of reports that the service is down and not working.
Independent tracking website DownDetector, which monitors mentions across social media to track when web services are offline, is suggesting that thousands of WhatsApp users are currently experiencing the outage. In fact, at the time of writing, there are some 22,500 complaints that users can’t access the app.
It’s unclear exactly what is causing the issues but it also seems that Instagram and Messenger are also in trouble with fans of these apps complaining that they can’t access the services, from approximately 11:40 am ET.
Whatsapp and Instagram users have reported a “5xx error” when attempting to access the site.

personally i think that it’s high time something like this happened. as a grandmother of many, i often find myself teased and made fun of for having a fliper phone and not having access to the whatsapp app.. it was beautiful to see i was not alone in not being on the social media app for even just these few hours and me and my family got to enjoy making rugelach all together as a family.
Facebook?? Instagram?! What are these things? I know what WhatsApp is because I heard of it A while ago, all I know is that it is very goyish. But what is instagrum is it Jewish? Is it good? What is Facebook is it a book? Are they out of it in the library?
