A gathering to mark the first yartzeit of R’ Shneur Hirsch obm, took place Sunday evening in Crown Heights.
Family, friends and business associates gathered for a Farbrengen to remember the young husband and father who passed away at the age of 39.
Speakers told of R’ Shneur’s love for Torah and Mitzvos, his kindness for others, and of his being a baal chesed who provided generous support to many causes and Shluchim. Speakers included the children of R’ Shneur, who shared memories of their father and moments they shared with him, as well as his father-in-law, Rabbi Meir Gitlin.
A siyum was recited by Shneur’s brother-in-law, Rabbi Yossi Lebovic.
Rabbi Shais Taub, renowned lecturer, led the farbrengen.
