Where is the center?
The center is located on East New York Ave right next door to the ODA. It is conveniently situated between Crown Heights and the growing East Flatbush and Remsen Village communities.
How much does it cost to go?
Annual membership is $180. That gives a mother unlimited access to the playroom and our weekly programs for mothers and toddlers. We have 96 families with membership!
Non-members can enjoy the playroom for just $5 a child. All our offerings and classes are kept to minimal pricing. There is also a scholarship fund so that this community center is truly accessible for everyone.
What is your budget? How do you cover your costs?
Our annual budget is $190k a year. $25,000 comes in from membership and classes. Another $20,000 from corporate partners. For the rest…we rely on donations! We are a registered 501C3 and your tzedakah is what allows us to keep our doors open.
Who is Miriam’s Motherhood Center named for?
The center is dedicated in loving memory of our grandmother, Mrs. Miriam Friedman, of blessed memory. We are eager to give her a grand tour when Moshiach comes!
