We’re Stranded, So We Sing

people will hate us anyway. this is just a way of showing the world that were not afraid of them. and sometimes in life the right thing to do is sometimes looked as weird funny or inappropiate and i wish i was there and everyone else follows in suit
I was once in airport and a band was practicing and belching out some gross language songs ….. This is peaceful…… Just that…. Stop judging and pointing fingers.
Well done boys
To those tayere Yidden pointing an accusing finger at the bochurim. I’m guessing you probably have not been to an airport lately. I don’t know how it was back in the 60s but these days, there is so much noise pollution at the airport that if someone really wanted a good nap he / she would probably move closer to these bochurim singing beautifully to drown out all that other noise… Take it easy.
Nigun l’Shabbos v’Yom Tov
Your the last person we should be hearing negative comments from. What a kiddush Hashemi it was read comment 65
were Lubavitcher since when did we care about making a scene. THATS WHAT WE DO
Can you imagine the hugh humongous CHUTSPAH and CHILUL HASHEM that was created year in and year out EVERY SINGLE ROSH HASHANA, when the Rebbe would march with a whole army of chasidim all the way down Eastern Parkway to the Botanical gardens for tashlich SINGING AAAAALLLLL THE WAY THEIR AND BACK!!!!what chutspah! they didn’t rent out the streets, nor did they get royal permission from ANYONE they just followed the Rebbe’s lead and created the BIGGEST KIDDUSH HASHEM EVER!!! We have NOTHING to be ashamed of, on the contrary we should be proud of being frum chasidishe yidden and… Read more »

honestly this is unbeliveable and amazing. such pride and inspiration
who never heard a niggun in their life?
this could change a life for the better.
it has inspired me.
How many young people in the world can spontaneously join in such peaceful harmony?
ashreinu, how fortunate are we, that our young men are so comfortable with their jewishness.
very inspiring.
This world needs more random acts like this!
I wish I was part of it.
As a passenger who sat at a neighboring gate, waiting for my plane to arrive for about 4 hours, I was pretty happy to hear these songs.
I couldn’t help but start chatting with one of them and got this website, as I was told it would be up here within days.
Nice job boys.
Beautiful! So proud! They will bring machiach!
I simply wish that i too was there. So beautiful
….what you call Chabad flash mob!!!

If the bochurim were annoying passengers, someone from the airport personnel would have let them know. A chill Hashem is Jewish kids and adults hanging out and dressing inappropriately. The kind of thinking ,that says this was a chill Hashem, would also by extention mean not to do mivtzoyim,no lag Abomey parades chas vesholom because it disrupts traffic etc etc etc .Those bochurim singing niggunim in harmony are not a chill Hashem! Hang your Tzitziz and your chassidishe Pride out guys,if it is done in the aideleh manner that this was done,I say May the Rebbe have the nachas of seeing all… Read more »
I heard once from r. Kuti rap a”h, that once a certain chossid referred to something that had happened as a chilul Hashem.
Rebbetzin Chana a”h said that he should say “not a kidush Hashem”. Chilul Hashem is a very harsh expretion, and not everything is a chilul Hashem.
PS. Interesting to note the difference of aproaches here. Positive people look at life with the right eye. Im not sure if the criticism is coming from kdusha..
The rebbe wrote in many letters that many times, people critic good things for jealousy of someone who’s doing something good and productive.
There is a time and place for everything. This was not the right place.
why they didnt sing yechi
you never know which neshama mightve been awakened in the airport that day
It’s so nice to see how they use their free time!! And we’re sutr the other passengers found it nice and soothing!! This is holy stuff after all not some song!!
Good Job Bochrim!! 👍
To all those those who find it annoying and embarrassing .stop being ashamed of yourself and start respecting yourself
Disappointed I wasn’t there to sing with them beautiful what a thing to right after yud shvat kol hakavod to the Bachur that state it
Helllooo we live in a world that people so crazy things, i was in a airport 2 weeks ago and a whole group if CRISTIAN teenage kids started singing away, its just a world were people accept crazyness im sorry my friend but the only people they might of annoyed are the square weirdows i bet you no one that lives in THIS GENERATION could care less about it…
Although its beautiful to hear a sheineh niggun.
Its a chilul hashem for other passenget whom want peace and quite…imagine how u would feel if a group of muslims sang behind you
so you have so many people of different ages in one place waiting and waiting. lehavdil what do you think a goishe school of teenagers would have been up to? any other group would have been horriffic. what a kiddush hashem for the goim to see what a group of yidden do in such a situation.
What is this niggun called?
Kiddush Hashem!! So inspiring!
why do you think they were stranded? Because the airport was waiting to be elevated with such a hartzike nigun!
Its time we all stop being so apologetic! Lets do things to bring Moshiach NOW!!!
I think you are way too self conscious. I feel that if we actually cared what everyone else thinks chabad would never become as it is today. Maybe it’s a little impolite but וואס א חסידעשער פארברענגן קען אויפטאן אפילו מלאך מיכאל קען נישט אויפטאן.
they were singing a very “calm” relaxing niggun, not a dancing jumping exciting type.
it fit in with the atmosphere and it’s as disturbing as background music in a shopping mall.
smart move, beautiful kiddush lubavitch!!
What is this niggun called?
Cassidishe Bochurim. Did the best this as opposed to other bochurim who would just be walking around the airpoert wasting their time. Im sure if it really bothered someone they would of called the authorities. Im sure it was great music to their ears – Kol Hakovod!!!! Im sure it touched many hearts. listen to the music it wasnt crazy its wasnt wild. it was very hartzig music. Look at a man sitting on other side. seemed to enjoy it . Wish I was there . the video makes me emotional! nothing like chasssidishe Bochurim!!!
It doesn’t matter what you think. If they aren’t breaking the law then they are free to express themselves as they see fit and other people have the choice of enjoying or being annoyed. That’s the beauty of the USA. And the officials of the airport decide if they are a nuisance or free to express themselves this way.
Would be VERY proud
Oh dear, how long did that go on for!!
I watched the video and was filled with pride at how our bochurim behaved, with all our troubles facing our generation with children struggling to find their way, It gives me chizuk to watch this,
As to the appropiate place question what place and time could be more appropiate?
and from past experience to the gentiles watching this Behaviour it is a KIDDUSH HASHEM,
So we are left with a few self-concious lubavitchers, try think what the Rebbe would make of it.
On one hand it sounds very nice and inspiring but this should be done in a private area. Airport lounges are time to relax before a flight, not get aggravated
Kidush HaShem
I spy sroli
Negative commenters simply have no understanding of the beauty of a Chassidishe Niggun
It is a big kidish hashem
PS:they had all the right to do that probably only 5-10 goyim
There
Gam zo latova
I have been next to church groups singing. I did not think it was a problem..
If they would have been screaming and cheering I would agree with all the negative comments. This is beautiful!
Beautiful!! Chsidishe bochurim! I wish I was there.
It is important to point out that since Judaism came before the other religions mentioned by some, and because they changed Judaism to Shituf (almost Avodah Zara), and Retzicha, we don’t recognize the validity of their way, and so we may not find it appealing if they sat and sang their songs. But since they pride themselves that they are an extension of Judaism, they actually would find this type of singing very uplifting, and therefore I think that this is an amazing Kiddush Hashem! I say this as someone who has worked with many non Jews, and understands their… Read more »
Imagine the train station when the Rebbe Rayatz arrived
The kiddish Hashem of the achdus and singing ,
Notice the lounge was all bochurim , besides any passenger can go elsewhere if being disturbed , the gentleman sitting there was very inspired and proud !
Stop vilifying chasidim , Kol hakovod
wow wow this is beautiful have a safe trip back home Lshana habo Byerushyaim we want Moshaich now
Very special
In my opinion this was probably a nice treat for others stranded for many hours. They could have walked away if it was bothersome. A non-jew hearing a Holy Niggun is incomparable to a jew hearing a tune from a different religion, which is dangerous for the Neshama. And maybe this tune BeHashgacha Protis woke up a Jew from his spiritual sleep.
Really enjoyed watching!!!
Very nice but there is a time and place, I have to agree with comment number 8. I understand the Bochrim thought it was a good idea, they are young and not street wise, but they should be aware that as we are still in Golus they have thought of the other people who were in the airport. In the right setting it would have been amazing.
Girls especially in camp, think that it’s appropriate to sing and cheer in public places, like trips… They should be taught that cheering and singing are only allowed according to Halacha on camp grounds and not outside!
how can there be so many halfwits, this is beautiful. those who dont like us, will not like us anyways. grow some chassidhe pride, stop trying to blend in and make ourselves look good to others, cant hide from the emes.
youll spend your life trying to impress others, heres some advice, get over it, life will be much more calm, comfortable and enjoyable. we are who we are, and im sure there are many more people in the airport who enjoyed the beauty of this
Lehavdil, gospel only sings to proselytize and Islamic songs yeh I see those groups sing beautiful together…..(pun intended) These Bochurim are bringing their essence, walking talking chassidus from a weekend of Kabolas Hamalchus, which BTW dosent seem to be a problem to people sitting all around…For those reading this that are not chabad chassidim I’m sorry you may not fully understand, only A shiur in Tanya or chabad Chassidus would help you understand the pnimiyus of Lubavitch. Oy how i long for those days again….Nispoel of Nothing… Yofutzu Maynosecho chutzah is some times uncomfortable for those that are still struggling… Read more »
If I was stranded at the airport I would have a headache from these dudes. There is a time and a place for everything.
To all those people saying Lovely. Cute etc.
Do you realize even what you are saying!?!?!?!??!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!
huge chilul hashem and u are giving them credit immagina if muslems would be doing that evreyone would say muslems think the world revoolves around them so stop being annoying
This is Gezel Shinah for those trying to rest or nap in the airport? Is It a Kidduah or Chillul HaShem?
Beautiful video.
Something to keep in mind: It’s great to be spiritual. It’s also great to take other people into consideration, especially in a public place.
Am I the only one who finds this inappropriate? What about the other people in the airport who might want quiet? How inconsiderate!!!- A Shlucha
wow
I wonder what these guys would’ve done if a church group that was stranded decided to sing gospel.
In short, sometimes the best use of time is to be mentchlich and leave a good impression.
That would give me
A headache
im not sure if this is kiddush Hashem or c”v the opposite.
the airport is a very busy place filled with tired & frustrated travelers, there is no mitzvah to stick it in their face like that! Sit quietly learn a Maimer…. Even approach people respectfully to offer them to put on Tefilin (if they are Jewish)
my humble opinion
Do you even realize what you are doing?!?!??! At first glance i look and say oh so cute they are singing then i realize the AIPRORT DOES NOT belong to you! There are other people there who are trying to sleep etc.!!! And then the next time they see a lubavitcher they say oh i remember the time in the airport… they are just a roudy Nation!!
I am so inspired by this. Thank you for posting!
…of our talmidim!
wow thats nice , big kidush hashem
and kidush chabad
the Rebba must be smiling
Oh wow
I really don’t think it’s appropriate to do things like this in large, public areas.
Imagine if it were christians singing christian songs, or Muslims singing Isamic songs. There would be an uproar. I think it’s best to kind of lie low and not do these things in such areas.
nice
Beautiful and inspiring. True Chassidishe bochrim.
If only us older ones could hold on to this purity and sincerity Moshiach would long be here
Kiddush Lubavitch
The singing likely gave fellow stranded passengers a terrible headache. This behavior is straight out of the Brunoy playbook. I know because there was a time that I subscribed to that philosophy. The Bochurim should apologize to the to the Port Authority of New York and the appropriate airlines.
am i missing something? did they rent out the airport? i think this is quite an embarrassment actually!
heart warming such chassidishe bachurim. kol hakavod
