This Chanuka bochurim Yisroel Noach Evers, Aryeh Leib Hurwitz and Avremi Zippel distributed Menorahs and doughnuts to passengers waiting to board El Al flights at London’s Heathrow airport.
Each night of Chanuka more than 50 staff members and 270 passengers took part in a pre-boarding Menorah lighting right at the El Al gate, moments prior to boarding the plane.
The menorah lighting was followed by Chanuka songs and dancing as the flames were burning nearby.
The bochurim, students from London yeshiva, were escorted by Heathrow Airport’s Jewish chaplain and Chabad Rabbi, Rabbi Hershi Vogel of London, who has been holding Chanuka services and Mivtzoim at the airport for 11 years.
