Hundreds of guests, rabbis and lay leaders attended the wedding of Aizik Rosenfeld of Bogota, Colombia and Blumi Lazar of Moscow, held Thursday in Russia’s capital.
Their parents are Rabbi Berel Lazar, Chief Rabbi and Head Shiach of Russia, and Rabbi Yehoshua Rosenfeld, Head Shliach of Colombia.
The wedding, coordinated by Fleishman Productions, was considered the largest Chassidic wedding in Russia’s capital in years.
Many friends of the families joined for the simcha, including businessmen and philanthroposists Lev Leviev of London, George Rohr of New York, Eduardo Elsztain of Argentina, Sasha Granovsky of Russia and Yitzchak Mirlashvili of Israel.
Tens of Chabad Shluchim from around the former Soviet Union attended. Flying in from New York were Mazkir Rabbi Binyomin Klein, Vice Chairman of Merkos Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Colel Chabad Director Rabbi Sholom Duchman and Lahak Director Rabbi Chaim Shaul Brook.
Entertaining at the wedding were Yishai Lapidot and Yoni Shlomo and the orchestra of Gershon Freishtat.

Such exemplary Shluchim as the Rosenfelds and Lazars deserve nothing less. These famillies deserve every honor, for they have earned the title “Shliach” through decades of hard work with bittul and mesiras nefesh.
