Just in time for the Kinus Hashluchim, a new website has been launched under the auspices of Rabbi Yehoram Ulman, to assist Shluchim and individuals worldwide requiring certification of their Jewish status, whether for Aliya, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Synagogue memberships, marriages or other purposes.
Following the strict directives of the Rebbe in regard to Mihu Yehudi, the Institute of Jewish Status ensures the Kosher status of the Yuchsin and Yahadus of its applicants before any life cycle ceremonies are performed in an orthodox institution.
“This takes the burden off the shluchim to have to bear the responsibility of researching and investigating their congregants,” says Rabbi Eli Schlanger, one of the founders of the new website.
All one needs to do is direct their congregant to the Institute’s website and they will be guided through the steps required to have their application approved.
Certificates issued by the Institute of Jewish Status are recognized by the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and leading halachic authorities around the world.
Rabbi Mendy Fried of Ecuador is one of the rabbis trained by Rabbi Ulman to interview applicants and assist them through the process.
The Institute was founded by Mr. Yaakov Zar and Rabbi Eli Schlanger.
