Last June, Crown Heights residents elected a new Vaad Hakohol to partner with the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council (CHJCC) on behalf of the entire Shechuna. Nearly 2,000 households spoke volumes with their votes for the new Vaad: meaningful change is needed in Crown Heights.
Vaad Hakohol works to improve the quality of life for Crown Heights residents by providing support and resources to help every member of the community. To achieve the changes the community wants to see, Vaad Hakohol needs everyone’s active partnership. Today, we have an opportunity to create the immediate changes that will strengthen Crown Heights and take significant steps to shape the future of the Shechuna.
Vaad Hakohol is calling upon every member of the community to partner with them in the new Crown Heights Community Membership Drive, Charidy.com/VaadHakohol.
Membership Money Be Used For:
Compensation for current and future Chavrei Beis Din salaries
The establishment of a fully-functioning Beis Din
Youth programs, community events, and career advancement opportunities
A strong kashrus organization
Camp, tuition, and emergency assistance funds
On the 20th of Teves, 5751, January 6 1991, the Rebbe personally gave $120 to the Vaad Hakohol, demonstrating the Rebbe’s deep commitment to our community’s well-being – the community of Kan Tzivah Hashem es Habracha!
The Rebbe’s message was clear: supporting the Vaad is vital for keeping Crown Heights strong and united. We now have the opportunity to follow the Rebbe’s example. Let’s come together as a community and show our support. Whether you contribute $120, as the Rebbe did – which is $277 when adjusted for inflation – or just $15 a month for 12 months, every Membership strengthens Vaad Hakohol and the essential work the Vaad does for us all.
Community participation should determine the future of Crown Heights. Charidy.com/VaadHakohol
Together, we can bring life to the Rebbe’s vision for a vibrant and thriving Crown Heights.
wonderful film and true and welcoming to the world….but not so nice to their very own…..especially in some of the schools…where principals and teacher should be taught how to treat the Rebbe’s Kids!!!
We need to know that there will be oversight, transparency and openness in the use of funds, not the use of favoritism to determine how money is spent.
its important to give the new group a chance. not cool people off.
let give our fair share
Thank you Crown Heights for always being there for us living elsewhere.
You are all the things in this video and more.
We don’t take it for granted.
Thank you!
