During the recent pandemic, Rabbi Avromela and Goldie Plotkin, shluchim to Markham, Ontario Canada, were approached by a number of members of their community who expressed their need for some reassurance and positive messages to help them navigate life during these unstable times.
In response, they produced a weekly three-minute inspirational clip of uplifting Chassidus-based messages and personal stories called “The Silver Lining.”
“The videos really took off,” Goldie Plotkin told COLlive. “They have been very well received by our community, and by the Jewish community at large,” she says.
The videos have garnered over 20,000 views on Facebook and Instagram since its inception.
This week, they launched an engaging sequel called “Caught by Providence,” which focuses on Hashgocha Protis and small miracles in our every day lives.
They look forward to sharing this series of personal and classic stories with the public, in the hopes of strengthening Emuna and Bitachon.
The Plotkins welcome you to share these clips with anyone you feel can benefit from it and to reach out to them with your own personal Hashgocha Protis stories that you would be happy to share.
Please send all stories to [email protected].

I see even more than the story of Divine Providence here. It’s the respect and love that Rabbi and Mrs. Plotkin are looking at each other with in the video.
Beautiful and very inspiring. Thanks so much!
