Viznitz Rebbe Horav Mendel Hager Shlita received the Sefer Dvar Malchus and praised the work of its compiler, Menachem Ezagui, who collected all of the Rebbe’s Sichos on the last two chapters of the Rambam on Hilchos Melochim which speak about Moshiach and Redemption.
Present were Rabbi Nachman Schapiro, Mashpia in Oholei Torah Yeshiva, Rabbi Moishe Dovid Meisels, son of the Shopran Rov, Reb Eli Slavin (who facilitated the Viznitz Rebbe’s stay in Crown Heights and visits to 770 and local homes a number of years ago) and Shmuli Butler.
Rabbi Schapiro and the Viznitz Rebbe had a lengthy discussion on the Rebbe’s biurim on the Rambam about what should be learned waiting for the coming of Moshiach. The Viznitz Rebbe was very thankful for the Sefer and wished the visitors Hatzlocho. He gave rabbi Mendel Ezagui $200, noting that he wants to have a zechus in taking part in such an important book about Moshiach.
