If anyone is looking for the Vizhnitzer Rebbe, he is in Lubavitch.
Rabbi Mendel Hager, one of the two successors of the late Vizhnitzer Rebbe “Yeshuos Moshe,” is visiting the United States for a couple of weeks and is lodging in Crown Heights.
The Vizhnitzer Rebbe, who lived in Bnei Brak, was seen on Sunday arriving with a small group of chassidim to a fully furnished house on Eastern Parkway, a few doors down from Lubavitch Headquarters.
The two-story home belongs to local philanthropist Sholom Ber Drizin. Activist Eli Slavin and Rabbi Avrohom Lider, Director of the Ahavas Chesed organization, made the connection between the two.
Following his arrival, the Vizhnitzer Rebbe hosted a bris milah ceremony in the presence of a small group of his chassidim and was honored to cut the hair of a 3-year-old upshernish boy.
Businessman Sam Malamud, who lives nearby, came to visit his temporary nieghboor and welcome him to the neighborhood which was once a bastion of chassidic life in New York.
The yungeliet that assisted in facilitating this visit were Reb Avrohom Lider and R’ Eli Slavin.
Yaasher Koach to both……..
Vishnitz has always been known for its teaching/practicing of Ahavas Yisroel.
Not so long ago, when individuals tried to be po-gay-ah
in the kovod of our Rebbe / Father.
They had visited many raabonim to engage then in their evil plots.
When they came to the previous Visnitzer Rebbe Zatza’’l , he abruptly showed them the door !!!
Yasher koach. R Eli for making the Admur of Vishnitz.so welcome In Crown Heights. Thank you R Sholom Ber Drizin for your hachnosas Orchim
great to see true leaders in Crown Heights!
Are these lubavitchers who are in contact with him trying to convince him to go daven at the ohel?
You answered your own question
It’s a vacation
And he is not staying for shabbos I was told.
reb yisroel went to the lubavitch rebbe for chizuk during a difficult time in his life
Why is the Rebbe staying in Crown Heights of all places? Why wouldn’t he stay with one of his Chasidim in BP, Monsey or Lakewood like he usually does. Something is very off here…
What is the reason for him staying in crown heights where there are no chassidim of his?
Does anyone know how one arranges to meet with him?
Thanks
Thank you Sholom ber Drizin and the Drizin family for always making kiddush ahem publicity and being there for the community
