A video taken in the Palisades Mall near Monsey, NY on Friday, filmed unbeknownst to the people in it, has gone viral in the past few days.
In the video, two Chabad Yeshiva bochurim are seen helping a man dressed as a non-Jewish holiday character to don Tefillin, while the man is in full costume, surrounded by non Jewish holiday props. His assistant can be seen smiling nearby.
The bochurim had obviously been undeterred by his surroundings, and had shown love to a fellow Jew, offering him the chance to do a Mitzvah. The man can be heard reciting the Shema prayer with the help of the bochurim.
The bochurim in the video are Meir Tiechtel and Zalmy Ivry, students of Mesivta Lubavitch of Monsey, who were on Mivtzoim on Friday at the Palisades Mall, near their Yeshiva.
The bochurim had no idea they were being filmed until the video went viral, their relative told COLlive.com on Sunday evening. The relative said they are surprised and proud at the unexpected Kiddush Hashem.
From the long beard, and the giving spirit, I always knew good ole S Nicholas was a closet Jew.
