10,000 Chabad children joined this week a Shavous rally organized by the Tzivos Hashem youth organization.
This rally is a review of all the messages we have been trying to instill in the Chayolim throughout the year, says Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum, General of the Chayolei Tzivos Hashem Brigades.
As our Chachomim tell us “One who learns and does not review is like one who sows and plows but does not harvest their crops.” We must make sure that these messages are instilled and engraved in the Chayolim for the rest of their lives.
The Rally shows footage of the Mega Hakhel in Tishrei and the Highlights of the rallies throughout the year.
“The feedback from the schools has been amazing,” says Rabbi Yerachmiel Benjaminson, Executive director of Tzivos Hashem. “When we see the videos the schools send us of thousands of children watching, we are inspired to continue and grow Mechayil El Choyil.”
The children have been looking forward to this rally says base commander Rabbi Sholom Heidingsfeld from Cheder Menachem in Los Angeles. They can’t wait to hear the winners of this year’s auction.
Tzivos Hashem has packed and sent out 36,244 medals this year, all packed by volunteer Chayolim. Tzivos Hashem makes special mention to Mushky Weinbaum who recruited the volunteers each month and managed the medal packing.
“The children were so excited to get their medals and rank books,” says Rabbi Mendel Levin, Base Commander in Oholei Torah. They are so proud of their accomplishments and promotions.”
The rally ended with giving the Chayolim the biggest challenge ever. Each Shnas Hakhel (since 5741) the children’s Sefer Torah make a Siyum on Chof Av. This year they still have 47,548 letters and there is less than three months left.
“It’s our sincere hope,” says Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, vice chairman of Merkos Leinyonei Chinuch and Tzivos Hashem partner, “that these rallies will continue to inspire the chayolim until their mission is complete with the coming of Moshiach may it be now.”
