Heavy rains caused intense floods across the country on Friday, leading emergency services to evacuate 25 families in Achiezer via boats, the Jerusalem Post reported.
There were no reported casualties as of Friday afternoon.
The Israeli Water Authority said that this is the most powerful downpour since January 2013. “This is a rare flooding event that takes place once in a decade,” the authority said.
In the Kfar Chabad village, a father and his 3 daughters were traveling for Shabbos and found themselves stuck under a bridge. A team of 3 people came to evacuate them and their suitcases.
