An Israeli doctor in her 50s who chose not to get vaccinated contracted COVID and is now hospitalized in serious condition and attached to an ECMO machine, Israel’s Channel 13 News reported.
The doctor, who practices as a family doctor in a private clinic, began developing symptoms at the beginning of last week. However, despite her symptoms, she did not get tested for COVID and continued seeing patients.
At least eight patients have tested positive for the coronavirus after seeing her.
In response to the incident, the Health Ministry is demanding to increase enforcement of sanctions against physicians who choose not to vaccinate.

Why don’t you also mention the countless vaccinated Israelis who have contracted Covid and infected others?
People are much less likely to get covid after getting vaccinated, and their chances of getting seriously is much much lower.
Not getting vaccinated is extremely selfish unless you have a legitimate medical reason.
It’s not about sanctioning doctors who choose not to vaccinate. It’s sanctioning doctors who go to work even once they’ve started presenting symptoms.
Or anyone who walks around sick for that matter
The issue here has nothing to do with vaccination vs non-vaccination, but the fact that she apparently did not to get tested and/or isolate when symptoms presented.
She’s not the only doctor who has chosen not to vaccinate? These vaccinations were administered in a rush under emergency conditions, and even though they may have saved many lives, people — especially trained doctors — who may be cautious about them are not being “unreasonable” or “irrational”.
Just extremely irresponsible! Her decision to treat patients even after having symptoms – in this era of pandemic – it’s just irredeemably irresponsible!
Was she treated properly? There are options these days. Hcq, zinc, ivermectim, plasma…
…there is no way of knowing for sure who these patients caught it from. There are lots of COVID cases in EY right now, r”l, both among the vaccinated and the unvaccinated.
Maybe the doctor should use the zelenko protocol.
Should have been using zelenko and others protocols all along if choosing not to be vaccinated. If doctor is working with sick patients however vaccination is probably essential
