1,000 bochurim gathered for a Tzeischem L’shalom farewell event hosted by Eshel Hachnosas Orchim, marking the conclusion of Tishrei month, at Oholei Torah Ballroom in Crown Heights.
Speakers included Rabbi Nachman Schapiro – Mashpia in Oholei Torah, Rabbi Yitzchok Pruss – activist for the letter in the Sefer Torah campaign, and other Rabbonim and Mashpiim.
Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hendel, Director of Eshel Hachnosas Orchim, presented gifts and thanks to all the major donors to the campaign in support of the Eshel organization which provides food, accommodations, and more to the Tishrei guests, which recently concluded. He also thanked the many online donors to the successful campaign.
A raffle was held for a dollar from the Rebbe as well as other monetary prizes for those who kept the Seder of learning throughout the month.
This year, a record number of guests traveled to Crown Heights for Tishrei, including thousands of bochurim, families and girls.
Eshel arranged for food and accommodations for many of the guests, as well as provided for the Ruchnius needs of the bochurim and girls. Organizers at Eshel estimate the amount of guests this year at 3,000 bochurim, 1,400 girls, and families of men, women and children totaling 3,000.
