Yeshivas Kayitz Tzeirei Hashluchim – Tzfas has recently completed a most amazing four day Shabbaton in Yerushalayim.
The trip began Thursday, crawling through the Bar Kochba caves followed by an inspiring visit to Kever Rachel. Friday they had a fascinating tour of Ir David, the ancient city of David Hamelech, where they saw the recent archeological finds and trudged through the water tunnels of Chizkiyahu Hamelech. Afterwards the Bochurim walked over to the Shuk Machne Yehudah for the true Erev Shabbos experience.
As they brought in Shabbos Friday evening, the entire Yeshiva led an uplifting Seder Niggunim joined by many at the Kosel Hamaravi. Shabbos day, after Davening and Seudas Shabbos, the Bochurim were treated to an amazing and informative walking tour of the Old City of Yerushalayim where they experienced first-hand the history and holiness of the ancient city.
Early Sunday morning the busses rolled to visit the Holocaust Museum Yad Vashem, after which the Yeshivas Kayitz participated in the great mitzvah of providing food for the poor, at Pantry Packers of Colel Chabad. The exciting day finished with a visit to the famous neighborhoods of Gelua and Meah Shearim for dinner and some shopping.
Before making their way back to Yeshivah, an important stop was made at the Rambam’s Kever in Teveria to celebrate the Siyum Harambam, in accordance with the Rebbe’s directive.
