Two Jewish People Stabbed in London Terror Attack

Two visibly Jewish individuals were stabbed Wednesday in London’s Golders Green neighborhood, in a shocking antisemitic attack amid a troubling rise in incidents across the city.

According to police, a 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He is also accused of attempting to stab responding officers during the incident.

The attack took place in the Golders Green neighborhood, where two victims — one in his 70s and another in his 30s — were wounded. Both were transported to the hospital and are reported to be in stable condition. No police officers were injured.

Witnesses reported seeing the suspect running along Golders Green Road armed with a knife, attempting to target Jewish pedestrians. Local Shomrim members responded immediately, followed by police who used a taser to subdue the suspect.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the incident, calling it “appalling,” and expressed appreciation to Shomrim, Hatzola, and police for their swift response.

Authorities confirmed that counter-terrorism units are leading the investigation, working to determine the suspect’s background and nationality.

Following the incident, large sections of the area were closed off as emergency responders, including ambulances and a police helicopter, flooded the scene.

The stabbing comes as London’s Jewish community has faced a series of recent attacks. Just last month, four ambulances belonging to a Jewish organization in Golders Green were set on fire, with four suspects later charged. Weeks later, additional attacks targeted a synagogue and a former Jewish charity site in North London.
