Former president Donald Trump has won the 2024 Iowa Republican caucuses, the first race in the nation to pick a candidate that will face President Joe Biden, according to the Associated Press and CNN.
Trump, embroiled in legal battles, won over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley on Monday. The latter two are in a close race for second place.
Trump carries his victory in Iowa into New Hampshire, which will hold its first-in-the-nation primary election next Tuesday, Jan. 23.
Trump has been the polling leader in that state as well, albeit by a smaller margin than in Iowa, AP reported.
The win in Iowa if far from an indicator that Trump’s road to the nomination is a certain one. In recent years, Republican candidates who took Iowa didn’t go on to become the party’s nominee in the general election.
Examples are Ted Cruz winning in 2016, but Donald Trump becoming the nominee. The same is with Rick Santorum in 2012, while Mitt Romney was the nominee, and Mike Huckabee in 2008 who cleared the stage for John McCain.
Interesting to see this news here. Trump was a good friend of the Jewish people and would be an improvement over Biden, but he has some strange advisors who give cause for some concern, including his sons. It will be good to see the end of Biden as President, but DeSantis and Haley are far stronger in their policies as relates to Israel in particular. Trump is fickle and some of the people in his entourage are isolationists.

If Trump was only for Trump then why was he the only politician who lost wealth while in office unlike everyone else?
Because wealth is not the only thing that interests him. “Winning” interests him more.
“Obama” or “Biden.” They’re the ones who hate Bibi, and Jews in general.

Desantis and Haley would be a disaster for the USA and world peace. They blow whichever way the wind blows. Trump’s policy of America first and strength through peace created the incentive for no new wars during his four years. If by “disaster for world peace,” you mean that they would be tougher on Iran and might actually do something about their nuclear weapons program, yes.
