14 Toronto Chabad houses teamed up to create the city’s largest Mitzvah Tank Parade in history, in honor of the Rebbe‘s 120th birthday, and in memory of local bochur Meir Likhovetski obm.
The parade took place on Sunday, Beis Nissan, ahead of Yud Alef Nissan, when chassidim and Yidden around the world will mark 120 years since the Rebbe’s birth. It’s a day of celebration, and a time to reflect on the tremendous impact the Rebbe has had on world Jewry over the last century.
During the parade a quick stop was made at the the home of Meir Likhovetski obm, where the tank that was dedicated in his memory and was brought all the way from New York just for the parade was officially dedicated.
Shliach Rabbi Karpilovsky shared a few words, and the Bochurim broke out into a spontaneous “Ani Maamin.”
Many of Meir’s family and friends joined the dedication event.
Following the parade, each tank went to their respective community for Mivtzoim where thousands of Matzah and Pesach guides and were given out and many were offered the chance to put on Tefillin.
Chabad Houses and mosdos joining the parade included Beth Joseph Chabad, Uptown Chabad, Chabad of Midtown, Chabad of Downtown, Chabad Flamingo, Chabad of Thornhill Woods, Chabad of Woodbridge, Cheder Chabad, JYN, Chabad Southern Ontario, Chabad of Maple, Chabad of Markham, JNY, JRCC, Maon Noam synagogue Yeshivas and Mesivtas Lubavitch Toronto.

This is so heartwarming to see what everyone is doing for the family, thank you to all those who helped out!
Best Shliach no matter where!
Best shliach ever
So special and such a fitting act to do for Meir. He would have loved it. His neshama should have an aliyah.
