A grand celebration will be held to welcome a new Sefer Torah written in memory of Rabbi Yoel Kahn OBM, the Head Choizer of the Rebbe’s Torah and the preeminent teacher of Chassidus in the last generation.
The Torah will be welcomed on Wednesday, Chai Elul, to Bais Menachem in Boro Park.
The Torah was completed on R’ Yoel’s first yartzeit, 6 Av. Rabbonim, Mashpiim, and students of R’ Yoel gathered at his home in Crown Heights for the writing of the final letters by renowned Sofer Rabbi Moshe Klein.
The Torah writing was coordinated by Rabbi Zalman Leib Markowitz of Monsey, NY, and Rabbi Dovid Meizlish of Williamsburg.
The celebration will take place at 5:30 PM, leaving from the home of Rabbi Yaakov Leib Altein 1572 52nd Street. A procession will take place to Bais Menachem Lubavitch, 4814 16th Avenue in Boro Park. All are invited to attend.
