Torah in Memory of ‘Nshei Mother’

Almost a year has gone by since the passing of Mrs. Tova Gitel Weiss, of Manchester, England.

A pillar of the community, ‘coined’ the Mother of Nshei, Gigi, as she was affectionately known, knew no boundaries when it came to helping another person. Her kind, genuine smile warmed many a heart, and her love and concern for others led her to show up to help, exactly when she was most needed. The sheer number of people who have expressed how they had been touched by a moment with Gigi is a powerful testimony to the lasting and personal effect which was her hallmark.

As a mother and teacher, shlucha and friend, Gigi wore many hats. Whether it was her involvement in N’shei, as a volunteer doula, mikva attendant, bereavement hotline counselor, special needs director, fertility shomeres, Principal or lunch lady, camp director or member of the chevra kadisha, there was almost no one in the community who had not benefitted from her kindness.
