The Bochurim of Tomchei Temimim – Chovevei Torah enjoyed a four day luxurious vacation, enriched with a variety of fascinating classes by world renowned Rabonim, along with engaging activities and trips.
A leap year has the advantage of a longer stretch of learning, yet it comes along with a challenge for the Talmidim to stay motivated for six consecutive months.
This has created a dilemma, on one hand, breaking up the long Zman with a short vacation is helpful in keeping the Bochurim fresh and engaged. On the other hand, sending them home for more than a weekend has proven to be counterproductive for most Bochurim.
The Hanhala at Tomchei Temimim – Chovevei Torah has therefore decided to arrange with the help of the Talmidei Hashluchim a meaningful, productive and fun vacation for the Bochurim. One that will be refreshing yet keep the Talmidim in a Yeshiva mode and strengthen the Achdus in the Yeshiva.
The Yeshiva spent four days at a beautiful mansion in Monsey, NY, as they enjoyed an amazing lineup of guest Rabonim and Mashpiim, engaging activities and fun trips.
Rabbi Eliahu Ezagui taught the laws of Shechita and the importance of Shechitas Lubavitch. Along with a hands-on experience as he performed Shechita on a sheep.
Rabbi Yossi Klyne delivered a fascinating Shiur Chassidus on the theme of Simcha.
Rabbi Boruch Lesches gave an in-depth Shiur on the topic of building a Beis Haknesses.
Rabbi Yechiel Krisch mesmerized the Bochurim with a shiur explaining the Rebbe’s unique view on Torah and science.
Rabbi Moshe Gourarie and Rabbi Chaim Chazan answered the Bochurim’s questions on topics relating to their Avodas Hashem.
Rabbi Chaim Schochet taught a deep Maamar Chassidus, and showed its relevance in our practical lives.
Rabbi YY Jacobson taught a Sicha of the Rebbe on the Parsha, with great clarity and passion.
Rabbi Aaron D. Ganz shared his personal journey from Satmar to Lubavitch followed by a powerful Farbrengen with the Bochurim.
Along with the variety of interesting Shiurim, their days were filled with engaging activities. Special programs arranged by each Shiur, Adar dancing, indoor swimming, Bowling, Ice-Skating, Go-Karting, Escape room and Skiing.
This was an opportunity for the Bochurim to spend quality time with the Yeshiva staff, Rabbi Sternberg, Klyne, Dexter, Korf, Pevsner, Butman, Gansburg and Myhill.
The Bochurim expressed that this was an outstanding spiritual and physical experience that will surely enhance their Learning, Davening and the overall Yeshiva environment.
