A gathering in support of Israel will take place today, Tuesday at 6 PM at 5th Avenue and 59th Street in Manhattan, the conclusion of a day of Mitzvos in the merit of Israel.
In a gesture of spiritual solidarity and a call for divine protection, Lubavitch Youth Organization, The Mitzvah Tank Organization, together with the Shluchim in the New York Metropolitan area, have organized a Mitzvah Tank Parade and a day of Mivtzoim in the merit of Israel.
The parade’s mission is clear: to conduct Mivtzoim throughout the day, enabling thousands to don Tefilin. Historically, during the Six-Day War in 1967, the Rebbe emphasized the significance of Tefilin, declaring that it would protect the troops. As tensions continue to escalate in Israel, this initiative aims to harness the power of Tefilin as a protective shield for the people of Israel.
After a day filled with Mivtzoim, the parade will culminate in a grand rally in the heart of Manhattan. The gathering is scheduled for 6-7 pm at 5th avenue and 59th street, right in front of the iconic Plaza Hotel.
Rabbi Shmuel Butman, the director of the Lubavitch Youth Organization, commented on the initiative, stating, “Tefilin is our best response to what’s going on in Eretz Yisroel. It’s more than just a physical act; it’s a spiritual armor, a beacon of hope. This is precisely what the Rebbe would instruct us to do in times like these.”
