A mobile testing center for Covid-19 is coming to the Crown Heights neighborhood, thanks to the efforts of the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council.
The mobile coronavirus and antibody testing center will be set up for one day in Crown Heights by Dr. David Schechter, organized by Eli Cohen of the CHJCC.
“Many people are worried, with the news about new COVID cases and with many people returning to Crown Heights after camp and vacation,” Eli Cohen told COLlive. “This testing should help put peoples’ minds at ease, so they can know if they have antibodies, or if they are infected.”
Dr. Schechter’s lab is in close proximity to Crown Heights, and is available 24-6 for testing by appointment.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Dr. Schechter has rescheduled the free testing to tomorrow, Thursday, August 27, 11 AM to 5 PM, at 935 Eastern Parkway, corner of Troy Avenue.
Testing is free, and all insurances are accepted for the lab test. You must wear a mask.
Results are produced within 24 hours of testing. You do not need an appointment for the test.
The lab for appointments after Wednesday is at LabQ Diagnostics, 140 58th St, Brooklyn, NY 11220. Lab testing results can be within an hour of testing. Call (888) 522-7247 for more information.
