This Sunday, September 7 at 5:00 PM, Chabad in California will host its 45th annual “To Life” Telethon, the long-running celebration of Jewish spirit, joy, and generosity.
The Chabad Telethon has become a cultural staple on the West Coast and beyond, showcasing music, celebrity appearances, and the iconic “dancing rabbis.” At its heart, the event is about one mission: raising vital funds for Chabad’s vast network of educational and nonsectarian social services.
Over the past four decades, the Telethon has raised millions of dollars to support programs ranging from schools and youth camps to crisis intervention, addiction recovery, special needs education, senior care, and community outreach.
“Whether it’s a child who needs a nurturing education, a senior citizen who needs some companionship, or an addict who needs a second chance, there are so many members of our community who are in desperate need,” said Rabbi Shlomo Cunin, head of Chabad of California.
“Chabad has always been blessed by caring and compassionate supporters, and we want the Telethon to inspire them to come together to dance, to sing, and to reach out to those less fortunate.”
The annual broadcast remains one of Chabad’s most successful platforms for raising both awareness and funds, while also uniting diverse communities through music, laughter, and a shared purpose.
The 45th Chabad “To Life” Telethon will air live this Sunday evening.
