Thousands across the globe will mark the 34th yartzeit of the legendary Chossid Reb Yisroel Duchman OBM, tonight, Vov Iyar.
Reb Yisroel’s many descendants, who serve as Shluchim and community leaders around the world, will be commemorating the 34th yartzeit with memorial events in many Shuls and communities across the globe.
R’ Yisroel’s children will commemorate the yartzeit on Thursday morning at Chabad Headquarters – 770 Eastern Parkway, with a Hakhel Yartzeit breakfast and Davening in the main Shul, beginning at 9 AM until 12 Noon.
Reb Yisroel was known for his unique relationship with the Rebbe, and his great effort to always make the Rebbe happy. He had a special love and Ahavas Yisroel for every single Jew and was ready to help anyone in need. Reb Yisroel truly represented Ahavas Yisroel – love for the Rebbe, love for his fellow Jew, and love to do another Jew a favor.
He was a sincere Chossid who never missed a day of Davening in 770 with the Rebbe, which was highlighted by his privilege of Davening before the Omud on Simchas Torah.
Lag BaOmer – the 33rd of the Omer, was a special day for Reb Yisroel, who was known for his attention and love to the Rebbe’s Lag BaOmer parades.
