A deadly barrage of missiles launched from Iranian territory struck central Israel shortly before 4:00 a.m. Monday, killing two women and a man approximately 70 years old. The attacks came as the fighting continued into the fourth day.
Magen David Adom reported that 74 people have been evacuated with injuries. Among the wounded is a woman in her 30s who is in serious condition with facial injuries. Five others are in moderate condition, and 68 sustained light injuries.
Search and rescue operations are actively continuing at two of the four main impact sites, with efforts focused on locating additional casualties.
In the Haifa area, two people were lightly injured at two separate missile impact sites. Emergency teams are currently attempting to rescue three individuals who remain trapped.
The Israel Fire and Rescue Services confirmed that two high-rise residential buildings in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area were directly hit. Eight rescue teams were dispatched to extricate residents from under the rubble.
Search efforts remain ongoing at all affected locations. Meanwhile, Israeli defense forces intercepted unmanned aerial vehicles near Eilat and Rosh Hanikra.
The IDF Home Front Command has authorized residents in certain areas to leave protected spaces but continues to urge all citizens to follow official instructions and updates.
The attack followed another missile incident on Sunday evening in which a missile struck between two buildings in Haifa, injuring one woman moderately and six others lightly. In the Lachish region, two more individuals were lightly injured in a separate missile strike on a moshav.
According to defense officials, the latest attack involved 30 missiles fired from Iranian territory.
