The rabbi of the city, Rabbi Avraham Wolff, appeals to all Jews to do everything they can to help the elderly, women and children who are freezing cold and suffering in Odessa.
Following the Russian shelling of the civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, the city of Odessa was cut off from electricity and heating. The ones who suffer the most are the thousands of the city’s Jews who were left behind in the frigid temperature of 5 degrees below zero.
Thousands of families, including the elderly, women and children, are in a terrible situation, desperate for heating and food. These pleas have reached the desk of the rabbi of Odessa, Rabbi Avraham Wolff, who decided that it was not possible to remain silent any longer.
In a cry for help, Rabbi Avraham Wolff turns to each and every Jewish heart, wherever he is:
“We live in tremendous fear. Apart from the war and incessant shelling, we’ve been cut off from electricity and heating and suffer from a severe shortage of basic food products. If we don’t raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to purchase generators, satellite communication equipment, basic food products and heating, God forbid, our brothers and sisters may freeze to death and suffer from starvation.”
There is no time to waste! Please respond to the call of Rabbi Wolff who is crying out for the thousands of Jews who are suffering from hunger and the harsh cold in Odessa. Donate now as much as you can!
