A 24-year-old woman was the victim of a violent robbery late Saturday night when an unknown assailant threatened her life as she walked into a Crown Heights apartment building.
Police said that the victim had just entered 1625 President Street just east of Schenectady Avenue at approximately 11:30 PM when she was grabbed by a man who put his arm around her neck and said “I’ll murder you if you don’t be quiet.”
The victim dropped her cell phone and the attacker fled with her phone and $5 in currency that he took from the victim.
The NYPD is continuing to investigate the incident and described the suspect as a black male, approximately 20 years old and 5’7” tall, dressed in a black jacket or sweater.
Mazel Tov, they changed the lock. So silly how they always wait for something drastic to happen before they spend one penny on anything.
why dont they check the security cameras?

Leaving the building unlocked over Shabbos is a saconah. The landlord should install one of those mechanical push-button combination locks for Shabbos use.
Why is it left open on Shabbos? There are (Halachicly permitted) ways to have a key with you on Shabbos
I live in this Fisher building. The lock is electronic and is disabled for Shabbos. The super, Oscar, is supposed to turn it bak one 1 hour after Shabbos ends, but he doesn’t always do that.
I got so scared when I started to read
We also live in NYC which happens to have some of the strictest gun control laws
Why is the front door of the building not locked?
We live in a country BH with a 2nd Amendment. Get a gun .
Sue the landlord. That is the only way to get a landlord to act.
That women should file a law suit against her landlord for putting her in danger.
It’s out of control!
Are they catching anyone?
If I’m not mistaken that building has multiple CCTV security cameras all over. Hopefully the police will catch the criminal.
Landlords wants to charge crazy rent but they can’t have the locks on the front door working properly if the door would have close behind her he never would’ve got in.
Thank G-D she’s safe.
