Thief Arrested After Stealing Tools From Home in Crown Heights

A man who stole tools from a Crown Heights garage was arrested Thursday afternoon after being recognized by an alert Shmira volunteer.

The theft occurred last Tuesday, when the perpetrator stole tools from a residential garage. The victim contacted Crown Heights Shmira and filed a police report.

Two days later, a Shmira member on routine patrol recognized the suspect, leading to his immediate arrest by NYPD officers.
