Kettle & Cord, a homeware store in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, has partnered with Norman’s Dairy and health coach Rivkah Krinsky to demonstrate a light, gluten-free donut recipe that can be enjoyed this holiday season without feeling any guilt.
With all the donuts, latkes and cheese we eat on Chanukah, it’s hard to come out from the holiday feeling good about our eating habits and our weight. Krinsky provides viewers with a delightful and healthier alternative that is sure to satisfy even the biggest food critics.
The secret ingredient to getting that perfect donut fluffiness? Rivkah Krinsky says Plain Greek yogurt from Norman’s. Not only is greek yogurt an excellent source of protein, but it also adds a light fluffiness to your donut batter.

Yes these are great with spelt four too and yes, you can also use flavored Greek yogurt.
Can I use regular or spelt flour? Can i use flavored greek yogurt?
Yes it is 1/2 cup yogurt. Kettle and cord udjusted it today. Its all Rivkah’s exact recipe now.
It makes 2 donut trays – approx 10 large or 20 mini
How many doughnuts does this recipie make
These look terriffic, the toppings are a bit far fetched for some but kudos to Rivkah for composing a Chanukah related treat with more than one reference to the yomtov. I would try these if I had the pans. I wonder if they are available in single use aluminum.
These were delicious! I added the eggs because I watched the video tg! Also to all those critics, this is a healthy ALTERNATIVE, it’s not meant to be the same as your deep fried donuts. You can enjoy all different types. Do what’s right for you. Happy Chanukah to all!
Our apologies. The recipe should include 2 eggs.
Yes!! For some reason it was omitted -thank you for noticing!! I will tell Kettle & Cord to adjust their text today- it’s 2 EGGS!!!
I’m sorry.. but it’s not a donut!
Can a pareve yogurt be used as a substitute for milchig yogurt?
Can another type of gluten free flour be a substitute for oat flour?
They look delicious.
but it says eggs in the video but not in the printed recipe. and how many eggs?
also in the video it says 1/2 cup yogurt but printed recipe says one cup?
These donuts really look delicious and healthy! BUT isn’t Chanuka about frying in oil… Not just having a confection with a hole in the middle?
We need a recipe for real donuts fried in oil (and healthy)
Just made this recipe for my hub and kids , they were devoured in seconds. Thank You so much Rivkah for sharing and inspiring us to live healthier lives!
Your food is always delicious!
Thank you for sharing your magnificent gifts with others.
Sending many blessings your way.
