The Gaaguim musical project of Chabad niggunim presents another Chassidic melody from the album Gaaguim 7.
The nigun was composed by R’ Berel Moisayev, a Chossid from the Kremenchuk, Ukraine, who was known as an oived and maskil for his outstanding knowledge of Chassidic and his heartfelt davening.
The Frierdiker Rebbe once said that R’ Berel’s davening has made many baalei teshuva and even had an influence on the non-Jews who witnessed and heard it.
The Frierdiker Rebbe requested that this nigun be included in the collection of Chabad nigunim which were played in the presence of the Rebbe Maharash. It is nigun #117 of Sefer Hanigunim.
In a new arrangement, it is sung by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Amar of the Ohr Menachem community in Ashdod, with music by violinist Mordechai Brodski. Arrangements by Oved Munis.
