Message from Tzivos Hashem:
To Mosdos Chinuch, Shluchim, and Anash Worldwide,
We wake up to devastating news from Sydney. Our hearts are broken. We cry. We ache. And the question that immediately rises is: What should we do ?
We do not minimize the pain.
And, as Yidden, and as Chassidim, we turn to the Rebbe for guidance on how to react:
In the Rebbe’s words, spoken fifty years ago at the founding of Mivtza Chinuch and the 12 Pesukim:
וואָס דערפאר איז אויך דאָ די הצעה אז מ’זאל משתף זיין אין די מבצעים – ובמיוחד אין דעם מבצע חינוך – אויך עוללים ויונקים, און אט דעמולט וועט זיין דער להשבית אויב ומתנקם בתכלית השלימות.
…ווי גערעדט כמ”פ איז איינע פון די בעסטע עצות אויף מכריע זיין עצמו וכל העולם כולו לכף זכות”, איז דאָס דורך דעם ענין פון “מפי עוללים ויונקים יסדת עוז גו” (וואָס דעמולט ווערט דער) “להשבית אויב ומתנקם”, אז מ’איז אים משבית ווען ער שטייט נאָך אין אַן אופן פון בכח, פאר דעם וואָס ער ווערט עפעס וואָס א מציאות.
“I am suggesting that even infants and very young children be included in the campaigns—especially in Mivtza Chinuch—for this brings about the complete fulfillment of ‘to silence the enemy and the avenger.’
…One of the most powerful ways to tip the scale for oneself and for the entire world to the side of merit is through the principle of ‘From the mouths of babes and sucklings You have founded strength.’ In this way, the enemy and the avenger are silenced while they still exist only in potential, before they can emerge into actual reality.”
These words were spoken just weeks before the attack on Entebbe. Following the miracle, the Rebbe stated that it was the power of the 12 Pesukim that brought about that incredible salvation.

What We Can Give Our Children Right Now?
When the world feels frightening and unpredictable, the Rebbe points us to something concrete and hopeful: the holy words of Torah spoken by our children.
What can we do right now?
- Encourage children to say, learn, and memorize words of the 12 Pessukim and teach it to others
- Remind children—and ourselves—that their voices matter
- Teach them that their Torah brings protection, light, and strength into the world
This message empowers children.
Not fear, but purpose. Not helplessness, but action.

Your Torah makes a difference.
Your words bring light.
