Almost every day of the last few weeks, we hear new terrible news about more people that have passed away.
We say BDE, AD Mosai and please send moshiach.
At that same time, 7-8 chevra Kadisha members go pick up the deceased, do the tahara, drive the streets of Crown Heights so people can participate.
Then they go to the Beis Hachayim with very little crowd if any at all, and do all the work there as well.
And when they’re done, they do it again and again – sometimes 5 times a day.
Their wives and children are terrified for their safety.
Please show appreciation for their dangerous sacrifice, and in normal times many people would have spent thousands of dollars to be at a funeral and be Menachem Avel, send some of that money to the front line chevra kadisha members.
Now is the time to show our appreciation and support.
Forward this message to your contacts to help this campaign reach its goal!
Is that they shud go out of business permanently with the coming of Moshiach – until then they are genuine Tzadilim & everyone should participate
they are tzadikim
Moshiach NOW
Who are the members of chevra kadisha?
on a need to know basis.
Traditionally members of the chèvra are always very discreet. My mom and grandparents were members for years before any of us found out .
Would also like to acknowledge the women’s chevra kadisha as well who are working very hard and unfortunately burying their colleagues
The members of Chevra Kadisha is not discussed. It is called a Secret Society for a reason. If you wish to join you may contact one of the heads to discuss the possibility of you joining.
And those women’s husbands and children are worried for them just as much as the men’s families are.
MY DEAR CROWN HEIGHTS COMMUNITY,
PLEASE KNOW THAT CHEVRA KADISHA WAS, IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE CHESED SHEL EMES. WE DO NOT ACCEPT THANK YOU VERBALLY OR IN A MONETARY WAY.PLEASE, PLEASE, WE WANT TO CONTINUE OUR CHESED IN A QUIET AND UNASSUMING WAY AS WE HAVE DONE FOR COUNTLESS YEARS.
WE LOVE YOU ALL MORE THAN I COULD POSSIBLY TELL YOU. WE WANT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU TO BE WELL AND HAPPY AND HAVE A KOSHER AND HEALTHY PESACH. PLEASE DONATE TO THE PEOPLE OF OUR COMMUNITY WHO ARE SITTING SHIVA. GUT YOM TOV
The men and women of the Chevra Kadisha are my heroes! I read so many negative comments on Facebook about frum groups who don’t practice social distancing that it breaks my heart! Reading about the positive actions of people who put their
lives on the line on a daily basis gives me ammunition for anti Semitic remarks.
Thanks Collive for emailing me.
