The Alter Rebbe’s Kol Dodi Nigun by a Young Singer

After the release of his debut original single Shir HaGeulah last year, Shneor Orel has released his version of a nigun that is appropriate for the month of Elul.

“Kol Dodi” was composed by the first Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Shneor Zalman of Liadi, the Alter Rebbe. This melody is one of the ten he composed.

Chai Elul is the birth days of the founder of Chassidim and Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe.

The Frierdiker Rebbe once explained that with the power inherent in this melody, the Alter Rebbe could purify and refine a Jewish soul.
