The story of Bilam ends rather abruptly in this week’s Parshah. But according to Midrash, Bilam’s story ends with him using magic to fly through the air to attack the Jews.
In this week’s Parshah Rabbit Hole, video creator Dovid Taub takes that Midrash as an opportunity to explore aeronautics in Torah. Along the way Taub finds some surprising ideas, including a Maamar from the Alter Rebbe that mentions a technological advancement described as “a ship that flies in the air.”
