A suspected Hezbollah drone strike occurred in Tel Aviv on Thursday night. The drone, which is likely made of plastic rather than metal to avoid radar, crashed into a building and exploded on Shalom Aleichem Street, near multiple embassies and consulates, including that of the U.S.
Emergency personnel are currently at the scene, with some damage reported.
Magen David Adom said: At 03:12 a report was received at MDA’s 101 hotline in the Dan area, about an object that exploded on Shalom Aleichem St., corner of Ben Yehuda in Tel Aviv. MDA medics and paramedics provide medical treatment and refer to Ichilov Hospital, a 37-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman in mild condition, fully conscious with shrapnel injuries to the limbs and shoulder. In addition, 4 anxiety victims are being treated.
Israeli security forces at the scene say the drone flew over the Tel Aviv beach before slamming into a building about 100 meters from the US consulate.
The likely attack comes after Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah warned that his group would begin targeting towns and cities it had not yet before if the IDF doesn’t cease its offensive in Gaza.
